    Hi,

The Featured Content and Featured Images section of the Canard theme guide says:

The homepage allows you to prominently display your choice of up to five posts in a crisp grid. Select which posts to display with the “featured” post tag, or designate a different tag in the Customizer. The Featured Content area displays when your front page is set to show your latest posts – use it to make sure your best articles get noticed.

Canard displays posts’ Featured Images prominently in both the Featured Content area and above post and page titles in the normal layout, quickly grabbing your readers’ attention.

What isn’t mentioned in the guide is that the featured images of pages as well posts can be displayed among the mosaic tiles of the featured content area. Just add the featured content tag to those five posts or pages that you want to be displayed in the featured content area. Each featured content item links to the corresponding post or page.

    Hi @faadaud!

Adding to @musicdoc1’s tip – when setting the Featured Content Tag, you’ll need to go into the Featured Content section of the Customizer.

    So, to sum up:

    1. Open My Site > Customize > Featured Content

    2. Set a tag (many people use the word “Featured” to keep things easy)

    3. Edit the posts/pages you want in the Featured Content

    4. Assign a Featured Image for post/page

    5. Use the Categories and Tags section to set you chosen tag for each post/page

Let us know how it goes!

    Thank you staff-loquaciousloon and @musicdoc1.

Your tips really helped me a lot. I got the post featured onto the homepage. However, I still can’t get around to get the post link to the page that I want to. How do I do this?

    Thank you!

I’m not sure I follow, can you describe that part a bit more?

The image in the Featured Content section will link to the post or page that you give the tag to. Edit the post or page you want the link to take people to, and put the tag on that item. Then it will appear and be linked automatically :)

Opps sorry.. I have explained that pretty confusingly.

So firstly, I understand that by adding a label at the ‘Categories’ section will automatically link it.

As you can see on each of my pages on the top section, there is a selection of pages, right? (Arabic, Fiqh, Aqeedah etc). As per my question, how can these categorized posts now, be linked to these pages?

    I think I follow you now :)

It sounds like what you want can be accomplished with Category Pages.

Edit your posts, and assign categories (not tags) to them.

Then, edit your menu and add those categories in the menu to open the page for each one.

Does that sound like what you had in mind?
