Adding Plugins
-
Hey,
I’m trying to add a new plug in (POWr), the use will be for creating a website banner slide bar featuring different aspects of our radio station.
It is a time sensitive manner, so if there is a way I can add this then please let me know asap!
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @marcelmaraisonline,
Sorry but WordPress.COM does not support custom plugins for security reasons. It only supports built-in plugins that comes with WordPress itself. Read More about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/So I guess it is not possible to get the plugin you are looking for. Maybe you should try WordPress.ORG which is a self-hosted blogging software just like WordPress.COM but with greater customization possibilities and also comes with large library of plugins.

Thanks mate!
So just to recap, WordPress.COM doesn’t allow customisable plugins, but wordpress.ORG does? Would I have to register my website on wordpress.ORG or can I use my current website on wordpress.ORG??
It’s a station website that I’m now in charge of and I’m not sure what the rules and regulations are with customisation.
Thanks for this!

Yes, WordPress.ORG allows custom plugins.
WordPress.ORG is a web software package. You have to buy a hosting plan and map your current domain to that host and then, install WordPress on your host. You can download the package here.
Read my answer on this WordPress.ORG support forum which may help you install WordPress: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/help-new-to-wordpress-3/#post-8983349
Let me know if it helps :)
