Adding Pobox.com e-mail to mapped domain on WordPress.com
-
Dear WordPress users,
I’ve just upgraded my account and, to be honest, I’m not really sure what to do on the DNS edit page so that I can get e-mail.
I use Pobox.com and currently I’m self-hosting. On my host, I just updated my MX records to:
mx-1.rightbox.com
mx-2.rightbox.com
mx-3.rightbox.com
mx-4.rightbox.com
mx-5.rightbox.comHowever, I have a feeling that I need to do something MORE than just inserting those lines on the DNS edit page.
Many thanks,
Pedro

WordPress.com does not provide email service for domains. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/

Thanks for your prompt answer. Maybe I did not express myself well.
I own a domain. Currently, it points to a self-hosted WordPress blog. My host updated the MX Records so that the email is handled by Pobox.com. So, my www is handled by my host, and my email is handled by Pobox.com – on the same domain.
Now I want WordPress.com to handle my www and continue with Pobox.com for my email on the same domain.

You’ll need to ask your email provider for their DNS records, then set it up following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-other-email/
