Adding poll to sidebar

  I know this is not a new topic but I am still unable to add a poll to my side bar. In a previous thread I was told that it might need someone to fix it for me…
  This is what has occured:
  I can put the poll in a post. When I go to the poll to click on HTML it is not under the polls name. Instead its has “share embed”
  I click on it and I can copy the wordpress short code. I then go to my “text” widget on my side bar and paste the code into the window. I then saved it. All that comes up on my sidebar is the wordpress shortcode.

  It could be that you pasted the shortcode into the title field of the widget instead of the main text field.

  Thanks, but I put it in the body. This should be added in wp support. I couldn’t find it mentioned anywhere so i tried title only, body only , body and text together…….it’s a no go.

  I have tried pasting it in without the brackets and then with. Still no go.
