ADDING PORTFOLIO
-
Hello I’m a new using WordPress.com, I’ve almost done my website. Just only the last step, creating portfolio. I’ve been recently creating one by one portfolio through Add New Project, in Portfolio tab.
But now, can I create portfolios from the posts I posted? I don’t know how to add my last posts into portfolio for faster insted of using Add New Project? Anyone can show me how to create portfolio from my posts, please?
If I created portfolio by Add New Project way, I would not be able to use the Add Post from now on.
Just simple, when I click on one of the portfolio, the whole contents of post will be appeared.
Thank you guys so much!!!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Portfolio projects and posts are different types of content on a WordPress.com site. They aren’t related or connected, though there are similarities between the two.
The following support pages might be helpful:

Using the WordPress.com definitions of “portfolio” and “posts,” there’s really no such thing as a portfolio of posts on a WordPress.com site, so I’m not sure what you mean. However, the page set as your blog page is titled Photography, and the blog page displays the latest posts.
Perhaps you can try to describe more clearly what you are attempting to accomplish.

Perhaps I’ve misunderstood and what you’ve asked for is how to copy a post, as described in the Copy a Post support page. The Copy All Content section might be relevant, but I’m unfamiliar with that section and don’t know whether the instructions provided there are applicable to projects, so I’ll call for staff attention. Staff will respond here.

Actually, I mean, when I click on any portfolio (at my homepage), they’ll moved to a post I posted before. Could I do that?
For example: First, click on a portfolio, then automatically move to the post I posted before.
So can you show me how can I do that on WordPress.com. I can’t use plug-in for now because I haven’t upgraded my account. Thank you! -
I’m also not entirely sure what you’re referring to.
I think you want people to be sent to a post if they click on a portfolio item? If so, that is not directly possible, as portfolio items are their own content type.

@ipinable,

For example: First, click on a portfolio, then automatically move to the post I posted before. This description seems entirely different from what you described in the OP. If your goal is to have a grid pattern of images on the front page that each links to a post, then there are themes that are specifically designed to do that. The theme that you presently have applied, Illustratr, is not designed to do that.
Grid layout themes may be find in the Themes Showcase by adding a “grid layout” filter, which might give you a list such as this: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/grid-layout. However, that list includes both themes where the grid of images links to posts, and themes where they link to portfolio projects. I don’t know if there’s a filter which will specify only the former.
Below is a brief list, drawn from “grid-layout” filtered list, of some of the themes designed to display a grid of featured images on the front page, each of which links to a single post.

I think I’m going to active a new theme supporting grid layout themes as you told me and I found one!
Thanks for your helping. -
