Adding portfolio to main static page is not working (argent theme)

I’m trying to create a static page that has my latest portfolio in it, just like in the argent theme sample here: https://wordpress.com/theme/argent.
I followed the steps and all, and i ended up with a separate portfolio page: https://inherelucia.wordpress.com/portfolio/ , but no way to include it on my main page.
this is the main page https://inherelucia.wordpress.com/ , but it is not showing the portfolio .
I did customize the theme option to show the portfolio section in the front page, so I really don’t know what am I doing wrong.

i came looking for the same help. you didn’t receive a response but it looks like you figured out how to get your portfolio on the homepage.
