Adding Poster to “Almost Spring” Theme

The “Almost Spring” theme by default does not show the poster for each post. Does anyone know what CSS would need to be used to update so this theme displays the poster?

Can’t be done with CSS, I’m afraid; staff would need to add the necessary code to the theme on the backend, and they generally prefer adding new themes to tweaking existing ones. Your best bet is to switch to another theme which does include the name of the author, and then perhaps use the CSS upgrade to get it looking more like Almost Spring.

Ah. Too bad. It’s a very nice theme. I guess I’ll have to start playing…all so I can have posters listed in the meta-entry.

Aside from the option wank has proposed ie. to use a theme that is coded to display Authors (page templates) such as MistyLook there is a work around some choose to use.

The work around is to create a Category for Authors as a “parent” category and then create sub-categories ie. one subcategory for each contributing author’s name as “children” under that parent Authors category. Each author then assigns the subcategory (their name ) to the posts they create.

Re: themes with Author automatic display
You can choose a theme that provides for and displays individual authors. There are theme reviews that can assist you in determining if a theme provides this “authors” feature. Look in the section titled “Display post author”.
