Adding posts
-
Hi: I need help, I have never used wordpress before. I have set up 5 pages which appear on the navigation menu. I am wondering how I can add blog posts to each page individually. I have set up a separate home page so that the one where all of the posts show up automatically does not show up. How can I add individual posts to each page? Also, with the pages that show up in the navigation menu when you click on the page, the title shows up where the blog post should go, I am not sure how to get rid of that.
Help please!!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are describing a website structure. Staff have provided help for those who want to structure their blog like a website. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/
What’s critical is:
(1) a clear comprehension of the differences between pages and posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
(2) a clear comprehension of the fact that there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. But we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.We organize our posts by assigning Categories to them. When we publish a post it automatically appears on the running page for posts and also on the Categories pages and Archives pages. Note: There must be one published post in each Category in order for there to be anything to display.
A custom menu allows you to display Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages and custom links in your custom menu as well.
These are the how-to instructions:

Well at least I now know that a sticky post is a good thing which is how I got my home page (post) to stick. :) But I am looking to use Quick Press wherever I want it to show up. Is there a way and means to make that happen please. Thanks! ( I find this a bit overwhelming but very enjoyable ).

However if you mean a theme called “Quick Press” then you cannot use it on a WordPress.COM free hosted blog. It’s only for self hosted WordPress.ORG installs. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or any themes into them The themes found on the internet are for wordpress.ORG installs which run on different software.

If you are confused then read this entry please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ -
It’s called Quick Press in my dashboard at my website. I was wanting to know if I could direct it to a certain page but I guess not because it has post properties not page or comment.
I just used it just now, it showed up on the home page at the bottom.
Thanks for your help.

I apologize, I was not clear. I have my own website, paid hosting. Using WP and trying to figure out my design as I go along, what I want and where I want things placed. I was very intrigued by Quick Press so I want to be able to use it for odds and ends.
Is there something available in a sticky note design that I can place in my pages or not. Thanks twice. :)

If you have your “own website, paid hosting”, you have a self-hosted WordPress website actually. This forum is for blogs hosted by WordPress.com.
For questions, go to http://wordpress.org/support/
If you don’t know the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org (the self-hosted version), read this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
