Adding posts from multiple categories to single page

  Hi there,

  I was wondering how I would go about achieving this?

  Basically the problem is that I have a page with four different categories of pictures. I would like to include all of these posts on a single page.

  My theme places all of my latest posts onto my homepage. As I do not want tutorials and videos being mixed up with the pictures I want to create a static homepage but I want the four categories to appear on that page whenever they are updated.

  Much like the latest posts, but excluding specific categories.

  How would I go about doing this?

  Took a while of modifying the index.php file and hitting dead ends to realise that I could just use a plugin (Advanced Categories Excluder) and get it done.
