Adding posts to front page with Selecta
-
Hi, back when I first set up my WordPress site using the Selecta theme, as I was customizing it I took out the Latest posts from the front page. I was planning on having just a static home page but would now like to have my posts on my home page so that I can increase my seo. How do I put them back on my front page? I can’t work it out
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you go to Settings -> Reading from your site’s dashboard, you can select to have your front page display your most recent posts instead of your static home page. Be sure to save the changes!
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any trouble.

Hi thank you but I just realised I didn’t communicate my problem properly (late night ;-)
I want to continue to have a static front page but also have the latest post showing up on there (preferably on the bottom). I want it there to increase seo but not to be the focus of the front page – is this possible?
Also .. After my first ever post yesterday, I noticed that there is no posts page – the only way for me to access them is to go through posts on the dashboard – should I be setting up a separate page for posts?
Thank you

You would need to either pick the blog posts or a static front page – you’re not able to use both.
This link will be useful to help you set up a posts page:

thank you, sorry it has taken me so long to respond … I wouldn’t mind the latest post being my home/front page so much except for the fact that it has that “Latest posts” bubble just under the header which doesn’t look so great. I will look up that link you suggested, try to set up a posts page and see if I can make that my ‘static’ front page; that way the content will still change every now and then and it gets the keywords and tags onto the front page?? if it works??
