Adding PPTX slideshow with recorded audio and animation

  Hello – I saw this http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/slideshare/
  but slideshare doesn’t play the animation and audio recorded on my slide. Is there a way to post a pptx slideshow so that when you click on it, it auto plays through all the slides (including animation and audio)? Thanks!

  PPTX is accepted. I put the link in from slideshare and now half the images on my site are gone!

  I’m sorry for the trouble you had with the Slideshare embed! However, I took a look at your site at http://tdsvisualcommunications.wordpress.com/ and couldn’t find the Slideshare link you mentioned. Could you send me a link to the post or page where you added that link? I’d be happy to take a closer look at it for you.

  Hi, Thanks for the note. I took down the link because I saw when I posted it, that resulted in most of the images disappearing from my webpages. I had followed this http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/slideshare/ but ti did not work to play the audio and animation, and it removed the site images. I thought I saw someone else had the same issue but am not finding my way back to that posting…

  Hi Tracy,

  If you can put the Slideshare link back up, I’d be happy to take a look to see what’s going on there and try to get it working for you. Without the link, though, it’s hard to tell what went wrong with it.

  Thanks but I think what I want to do is embed a link to a Flash file. But when I go to install Kimili, it says I have not logged in since 2011 and I must reset my password (?) and when I ask it to reset my password it does not send the new one to my email address.

  Also, sorry but I don’t know what this means “uploading the entire kimili-flash-embed folder into your /wp-content/plugins directory and activating the plugin.”

  Plugins can’t be installed at WordPress.com, for security reasons. Those are a feature of self-hosted WordPress.org blogs. You can learn more about the difference here: WordPress.com and WordPress.org

  However, you’re welcome to create a text link to a Flash file that is hosted somewhere else online, if you’d like.

  Been a while since I used Slide Share – but my memory is that a bit got lost in the translation and that was without audio – the last PPT I did with audio – I made a video out of it and put it on YouTube or Vimeo then embedded that in my site
