Adding privacy option after domain registration

  I want to register a domain through WordPress.com right away, however, in my current financial state, I cannot afford more than the registration. So… can I add on the privacy option, after I register the URL?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  starting multiple threads and bumping threads after a few hours distorts the very fabric of space and time, causes more work for those who otherwise might help you as they need to spend extra time cleaning up after you.

  yes you can enable privacy later – but search engines will have indexed your name so it will be out in the public – some months later most search engines will have updated their caches with the privacy settings
