Adding Relevant Posts to Pages

On my WP.com blog, TeenDramaWhore.com, I have pages for different television shows. On my main page/home page is where I make daily posts. But how can I get the posts to all show up on the other pages?

For example, whenever I post something that mentioned 90210, I want readers to also be able to see those posts when they click on my 90210 page. I want the 90210 page to list every post with my 90210 tag.

At wordpress.COM, there is only one dynamically updating page, and that is the main page. Pages you create are static and sit outside the blog structure. Pages are used for content that seldom changes such as a policies page, or an about page, etc.

    Post vs. Page

The best way to do what you want to do here is to create appropriate categories and then assign those categories to the posts. Then people can click on the category names in the category widget to get a listing of the posts that are assigned to that category.

Alternately you can create a static front page for your blog and then create links on that page to the different categories that you have created. When you do this, you will also have to create a “post” page.

    Front Page

Add the category “90210” to all the appropriate posts.

Then add a category widget to your sidebar.

“90210” will appear as a category on your blog, in a sidebar.
When readers cilick that category in the widget, there will be an automatic page that appears with all the posts you’ve categorized as “90210.”

You can make any number of categories (90210, chocolate, Spain, cooking, whatever) which will appear as lists on a page, and your readers can select which post they want to read about.

If you have pages like” “90210” “sesame street” and “Dr Who”, then you could also manually add links to the posts you have written about each television program to those pages.

The categories widget updates automatically if you add the appropriate categories to your posts. The categories page automatically shows up for your readers to look at all your posts about “sesame street” or whatever category you’ve assigned to them.
