Adding search to main menu

    I have the snaps theme on wordpress.com at my site, shelleyseale.com. I have a search bar in my footer with a widget, but I really need to have a search bar in my top main menu. How do I do this? Or at least, I need to create a search page that I can put in my main menu. please let me know how to do one of these things with Snaps and free wordpress.com site.

    Hi sseale66,

    I have looked around and I think the conclusion is you can’t quite do what you are hoping to in the free plan. The search bar is a widget and therefore can only be added to widget areas of a theme. The theme snap allows for widgets in the footer only. Perhaps in the Business plan you could add a plugin to add a search bar to the top menu, but you would have to check that first.
