ADDING SIDEBAR TO DYAD THEME.
-
Hello!
Is there any way possible that I could add a sidebar on Dyad Theme? I would like it to be visible to the main site only. Meaning, if I click on my blog posts, no sidebar will appear. I hope you get what I mean :)
I hope you could help me with some CSS. Thank you so much!
My site: http://xyzagerondio.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Unfortunately I do not see a way to add a side bar to the Dyad theme using just CSS. And according to the documentation for the theme there is only one widget area and it is at the bottom.
Sorry I couldn’t have been more of a help. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yeah, I like Dyad Theme’s appearance but somehow other customization I wanted weren’t available. Like sidebar & other stuff. I kind of like Twenty Fourteen but the image size is too small. I wanted full-screen blog posts, would it be possible with some CSS Sir? & the Twenty Fourteen slider isn’t sliding automatically not like the Dyad slider. Could I fix it too? Please help Mr. Charliescheer. Thanks in advance! :)

The content area on Twenty Fourteen can be widened, but one thing to consider is that it is generally best to keep content that includes text at between 500 and 750 pixels for readability reasons. The formula is actually a bit more complex and considers font size as sell, but this works as a general rule.
The slider auto/manual setting cannot be changed with CSS since it is actually set in the theme files themselves and we cannot edit those files at WordPress.com.

I guess I’ll have to stick to the theme’s appearance & all… Well, thank you so much Mr. thesacredpath! I really appreciate your help Sir :)

Same question – I wanted to add advertisement by blogfoster.de – is it possible to integrate it in the footer, too? How?

@sindimgarten, it looks like you are using WordPress but you are not hosted here at WordPress.com. For self-hosted WordPress sites such as yours, I would suggest asking for help from the theme author directly or ask in the volunteer-based WordPress.org Themes and Templates forum.
