Adding sign up form from mail chimp

trying to copy paste html code to “text” widget but the code disappears as soon as i save. below is the code- am assuming its because wordpress doesn’t allow certain code functions to be used, but am not an expert. can anyone help me to re-write this?

That code will not be operational in a WordPress.COM blog as we have code restrictions. However, for a WordPress.COM blog you can create a sign up page on MailChimp directly and simply link to it.
