Adding Slider to my site!! New and need helo

Hi guys,
Sorry if this question is quite tedious and basic but i’m interested in adding a image slider (rotating banner) to my site. How the heck do i do this with CSS? I’ve purchased the design upgrade but don’t seem to be able to get anything to work…
I’m also interested in having a sidebar image slider and i figure i can do this with a text widget and html but it’s not really working for me…
any help is appreciated! Thanks.

This theme has a featured post slider and that’s what you see on the demo site ie. on the demo site but I do not see it on your blog.
Featured Slider
Sight displays up to 30 of your latest sticky posts that have featured images in a prominent slider on the front page. To add a post to the slider, mark it as sticky http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts and give it a featured image.

Large: 640 x 290 in the Sticky posts slider
