Adding slideshow to “structure” homepage?

  How can I add a linked slideshow to “structure” theme’s homepage? So far, all I can figure out how to do is insert a “featured image”. I need a slideshow to link to various articles, because I am building an online news source. I would like it to look like this: http://organicthemes.com/demo/structure/#blank
