Adding Social Icons as Menu Items

Is there a way to add the social media icons to my primary menu header in Nishita? My site is tuccicursive.wordpress.com. Currently, they are under “Let’s Social” as a Sub Menu item…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi tuccicursive,
I just want to make sure I understand the question correctly.
The three links you have under Let’s Social, you would like to have icons next to the text in these links. Is that right? Thanks,

Actually, I’d rather have (and it may not be possible with Nishita layout) a Facebook and Instagram icon that are clickable. Maybe above the menu items. Something like the website below has:

I think the best bet would likely to add them to a sidebar or footer widget.
You could likely do it if you had the Custom Design product add-on but it could still get tricky.
If you wanted to add them to a sidebar you could check out this article that explains how to do it. There are a couple options.http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-social-media-buttons-to-your-sidebar-or-footer/
Hope that helps.

If it is something you really want you could also check different themes that might have this built in. One example would be

Thanks so much for your help! I figured I would have to put it in the footer or sidebar. I just switched to Nishita, so I will probably stick with this.
