Adding social menu on Twenty Seventeen

Hello,
How’s it going? I’ve added a social menu on Twenty Seventeen, but when I try to select an option in ‘add item’, none of the dropdowns work. I’ve been trying to add custom links, but when I select it nothing happens.
Is this happening to anyone else?

I have the same problem when i tried to add custom links, it seems like there’s some glitch/bug on WordPress.I also tried logging out and login again and also in incognito mode but it does not seem to work.
I would suggest you to wait to a while, WordPress will fix this.

@bgred2 on which site is this? The site you indicated on this thread, http://junglezine.wordpress.com/, is using the Adelle theme, not Twenty Seventeen

I tried this on a test site i created on WordPress.COM. Here’s the link: suchalongname.wordpress.com. Whenever i go to the Menus option via the site customizer, and edit the menu to Add Items. Any of the dropdown tabs don’t work.I tried it on many browsers like – Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi and Blisk as well. I also tried to clear browser data and also opening it on Incognito/Private mode, thinking it might be a browser issue but it did not help either.
I also logged in and logged out. But still… No success.

Thanks for the link. I’m able to edit that site’s menu without any problems at all. I tried on my own test site as well, and I have no trouble adding custom links or any other items to a menu.
Can you try editing the menu in WP-Admin, and then try editing in the Customizer again?

Okay, we’ve been able to replicate the error on our side, and our developers are looking into it.
There are multiple threads being created regarding this issue recently
As other volunteers have pointed out recently, please tag threads appropriately in those cases. Hundreds of new threads get posted in the forums every day and staff can’t check each one.

This problem should be fixed now. Please clear your browser cache, and let me know if you’re still unable to add new menu items from the customizer after doing that.
