Adding Songs?

  I’m so confused!! I did a blog for my dad, who is a guitarist among other things, and I want to add a Playlist — not of HIS songs, but of his favorite songs, so people can click on and hear them if they wish. I have to BUY this feature?? Help — thanks.

  No, you don’t have to buy anything.

  First of all, have you read the Support documents on Audio?

  You CAN buy an audio upgrade, if you specifically want to HOST your files here, not just play them on your blog. The WordPress.com audio player doesn’t actually do playlists, only one file at a time as far as I know. YOu might want to look at some of the other options listed in the link above.

  This workaround dates back to May of 2008 and I don’t use it so I can’t guarantee it still works. But if you want to give it a try here’s the link:

  Thanks very much. I’m still completely confused (54 year old baby boomer) so may have to wait for my 20 year old nephew to come around……the playlist feature was so easy for MY blog, on Blogger…I’m not sure why Playlist has a code to grab and embed into WordPress if it doesn’t work — but there is one.

  When you see “WordPress” especially on the internet it’s usually a reference to WordPress.ORG. Differences here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Unless it says specifically wordpress.COM it’s forwordpress.ORG
