Adding Statcounter

  The instructions I find via google search to add Statcounter are as follows: Login to WordPress admin area / Go to ‘Plugins’ / ‘Add New’ / Select ‘Statcounter’ but I don’t have a plug-in option. Am I missing something?

  My plugin screen at word press says you can’t bring in other plug ins that are not on the list. BUT I had StatCounter until a month ago, when I deleted it, and NOW I cannot add it. Something has changed, apparently. Please respond if you know something. Okay?
