Adding stats counter to Blog

Hello,
Does anyone know how to add you ‘blog stats’ to your blog for everyone to see? Like a visitor counter? I see it on some wordpress.com blogs but can’t figure out how to put it on mine.

Since wordpress already provides stats here, all you have to do is go to appearance > widgets and put the “blog stats” widget in your sidebar.

I had to change the theme in order to add the widget. Now my problem is that my ‘About’ shows up as a post on my home page, and I don’t want it there.Do you know how I can hide the ‘About’ so people have to click on it to get to it?

That is the way that theme works, but you can get around it by changing the permalink of the page. Open that page for edit, and under the title field, click on the “edit button, and at the end of the page URL, change “about” to something like “about-me” and then click “save” and then click “update post.”
