adding subdomain on godaddy

  I already have a domain through godaddy, and am trying to add a blog on wordpress as a subdomain and I need the IP address for the wordpress site and can’t find it

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi legacyathletics1,

  To map a subdomain to your WordPress.com blog, you want to use a CNAME record as per below example. Further information can be found on this support page.

  blog.yourdomain.com CNAME legacyathletic.wordpress.com

  You need to add above CNAME record through GoDaddy control panel. If you’re not familiar or uncertain how to do this, I would reach out to GoDaddy support team as they should be able to help you adding the CNAME record.

  Yes, I have already contacted Go-Daddy. they’ve already walked me through it but in order to do it I need the IP address for my wordpress domain. What I’m asking is how do I find that

  With CNAME record, there’s no need for IP address. All GoDaddy has to do is to add the CNAME record as per below. Replace blog.yourdomain.com with the subdomain you want to use.

  blog.yourdomain.com CNAME legacyathletic.wordpress.com
