adding subscribe buttons

  I would like to add subscribe buttons (specifically for RSS of my blog) and I’m having trouble figuring out how to do it.
  It looks like maybe I will need to add the “subcribe” plugin, but I don’t think I can do that since I don’t have wordpress.org. Is there a simpler way to do this?
