Adding .swf (shockwave) files
-
hey hey don’t get mad on me recalling that this topic has already been closed. I already read the instructions there but it proved to be even more problematic for me
I paste the code as [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7Oq9NGoo-4] in MY post link http://visitskc.wordpress.com/2009/01/23/media-culture-and-society/ but you can see there it says sth like ” The video is not available, if you have uploaded the video just now then wait few minutes”
I wonder how much is few minutes. It’s been hour and still the error message shows there.
Can any body help me? Its quite irritating problem. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you visit that URL, you’ll see that the video is no longer there. You can search for its title in Youtube, and maybe you’ll find it with a different URL.

Hello Mr panaghiotisadam, since you helped me earlier also, i do expect to help me in putting my soundslide file to my blog also.
First, let be clear about what i am thinking right now. After i made my soundslide in my pc by using soundslider software, it generates many file. Among them .swf file is just 44 kilobyte ofmemeory. I wonder how a 44 kb file will play the whole video . That may be the cause of my failure to upload in my youtube account also.
Infact, i did uploaded that .swf file, the youtube says, “uploaded succedded” but when i try to find it in my videos, it is not there. Is youtube Playing hide and sick with me? Well i am not in the mood to crack joke. Uploading soundslide in my blog is a part of my assignment. I get my marks through it.
So please say any other alternative to upload my soundslide file.
Actually there is html file of 2 kilobyte that plays well my video. But the problem is i want it to play in my blog like youtube videos play.
What to do? Can you pls MR Panaghiotisadam give a way? i am working though it whole day and my every effort is being prooved useless. -
You can upload videos directly into your WordPress.com blog if you have purchased a space upgrade (info here). You can embed videos from sites such as YouTube onto a free blog, but if you have trouble uploading the videos to YouTube, you need to ask for assistance from YouTube support. This forum can only help you with the embed process, not with posting to YouTube. I suggest you contact YouTube’s support for help with the problem you’ve outlined.
