Adding tabs

  Good morning. So I have been having trouble adding tabs to my site so as to put different posts in appropriate categories so that it shows next to the blog category. I am on the free plan. If anyone could let me know how to do this, it would be great. Thank you

  Hi there!

  First, you’ll want to actually create those categories: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/

  Go to your site’s writing settings at My Sites > Settings > Writing: https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/

  On that page, select Categories, then Add New Category for each tab you’ll want to add.

  Then, edit your site’s header menu to display your new categories: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

  Open your site’s Customizer: https://wordpress.com/customize/

  Select Menus, then Header, then Add Items, then Categories. Select each of your new categories here. Feel free to reorder as you like. When you’re done, select Publish.

  Now, you’ll want to categorize each of your posts according to which tab you’d like them to display under. When you’re writing or editing your posts, you’ll see a section on the right called Categories.
