Adding Tags
-
I have a new posting which I have already published WITHOUT adding the Tags. When I go back to EDIT this posting, I cannot add any Tags. If I go under EDIT POST, I enter the TAGS (COMPUTER, XXXXXXX,) click on ADD button, it doesn’t add these new TAGS. If I click the ADD button, UPDATE, my TAGS doesn’t show up. If I click on ADD button, PREVIEW CHANGES, my TAGS doesn’t show up.
What is going on? How do I add TAGS to existing POSTS?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

By the way, I have gone under the TAG section and adding the TAGS that I want to use.
Do I have to add the TAGS I want to use as CATEGORIES?

You do not have to use categories or tags to your posts unless you want to. Categories and Tags are not required for SEO purposes. Categories and Tags are for your visitors’ convenience only. If you do use them then do not use the same terms for both categories and tags or you will create an editing nightmare. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories-vs-tags/
For creating categories and tags and assigning them to your posts please use the guides provided in the support documentation.

Timethief,
Thanks for the response. As I had said before, I have already created new TAGS. I need a clear cut answer. I need an answer that is direct from you. I just want to add the TAGS to existing POSTS. It is very clear and simple on what I need to do. I have checked my Privacy setting, all good there. Yes, my POSTS will contain foul language from time to time but I know in this case, that is not it.
I have 2 posts. One contains foul language and the second post doesn’t contain any language. I have the same problem on both POSTS. I can’t add the appropriate TAGS to them.
Before I publish a new POST, do I have to include the TAGS? It appears that I can’t add any TAGS after I have published a POST.

I use Firefox 12 and I can edit each and every post on my blog and add or remove tags on any post. I’m flagging this thread so you will get assistance from Staff.

Thanks. Now I am getting somewhere. How long does it take to get a Staff person to respond?
I am using FF 11.

There are many other waiting for Staff and I have no idea how long it will take them to reply to you. I do know what information they require to help you and I know you need to ugrade your browser to the latest version.
How you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

trying another browser -
I understand that other people are ahead of me. I just want to make sure my problem is addressed.
I am trying this on my work computer. We use Fiber Optic and Cablevision. I have tried IE 8 and I still have the same problem on my work computer. I will try my home computer but I still use FF 11 at home.
