Adding text over the header image using Chateau theme
-
Hello there
I have noticed some .com sites have a header image and text on it/over it explaining what you are seeing. Am using the Chateau theme for my blog but cannot yet find a way to do this. I have successfully loaded several harder images on a random selection but cannot see where to put a title. Thoughts anyone? TThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi dreamin2, do you mean the text box appearing once you hover on a image?
You can add titles, descriptions and even captions to your images by going to Dashboard > Media > Library. On the image you choose, click ‘Edit’ to enter the Attachment Details settings. From there you can add/change the title, description, caption and alt tag.
To make the text appear while hovering the image, you have to add the title/text on the ‘Alt Text’ box.
Hope it helps! Cheers :)

Hi
Thanks for your response. I can do what you have said. I am trying to add text onto the header image, not as a hover over hot spot, just some form of decisive title in one of the corners.

Hi T,
I was thinking if that is a feature not provided by your theme, or maybe it requires further customisations on the CSS or by using external software such as Photoshop.
Are you able to link an example of what you mean, taken from another website? Maybe that can help me figure that out meanwhile someone else jumps on your question.
Thanks :) -
