adding text to a the twenty twelve theme footer

Is it possible to add text to the footer in the twenty twelve theme? How would I do this?
For reference, I’m just trying to add a creative commons copyright: “Content on this page is available under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial license. For commercial uses please contact us”

We can’t edit templates or themes on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. The only way to do what you want to do requires purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/ and doing the required CSS editing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/ I believe it amounts to placing the copyright info in a text widget and using position absolute to position it.
Note: May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
