Adding text to Stay Theme footer
-
I’m hoping for some instruction on how to add text to the Stay Theme footer. I understand it is required to leave the Word Press credits there – but I would like to add a couple lines before those credits.
I’m new to CSS but have subscribed to the Premium option which allows for some editing. Would you be able to provide me step-by-step instructions on how to make this change?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can add this to your CSS by going to Appearance > Customize in your Dashboard:
.site-info:after { content: "YOUR CONTENT HERE"; display: inline; }Please put in what you would like to add in between the quotes. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Instead of display: inline try display: block
That should move everything to the next line!

Thanks for the speedy reply Grace!
I’m sorry for not giving enough detail the first time around.
I’d like to break my text into two lines. My first sentence on one line, my second second on the next. Both sentences on their own lines after the WordPress credit.
Is that possible too?

Hi there,
Sure. Please add this right before where you want the line break:
aThen also add this:
white-space:pre;So if you wanted the line break right before the “|” it should look something like this:
.site-info:after { content: "Securities offered through Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, Member FINRA/SIPC. a| Cetera is under separate ownership from any other named entity."; white-space:pre; display: block; } -
