Adding the Net Banking payment option

I have bought the domain japanaddicts.org from another website for one year. However, to use it on my current ‘blog’, I need to map it, that costs $13 (Rs 803 for me).

I bought the domain (and do all other online transactions) through my net banking account, but to purchase ANYTHING on WordPress, I need a credit card, which I don’t have.

Given that many websites now offer net banking option, why don’t WordPress also include this option, especially for India where it has a good consumer base and many transactions, I am sure?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,
I don’;t have an answer to your question. I do know that what I post below are the only accepted means of payment.

WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country.

In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

    More about echecks here:

WordPress.com also accept Bitcoin for payment of certain upgrades ( bitcoin cannot be used for domain and premium theme purchases)

No actually it isn’t like my country/region is blocked or something. Actually, I CAN pay via credit cards and PayPal (and yeah, besides the two things you mentioned, it also shows a Bitcoin option).

Actually my concern was that why don’t they want to introduce the net banking option that is getting fairly popular now-a-days.

    Anyway, thanks, I appreciate it.
