adding theme thru web matrix

    I installed wordpress in my laptop thru web matrix.

    first question, do I always have to open web matrix to access wordpress? I can’t directly download wordpress to my laptop I always get a msge about an invalid path. so I search how can I install wordpress and I found about this web platform installer.

    I recently bought a responsive wordpress theme that I’ll be using for my online business. I want to make some changes on this theme but I don’t know how to upload it to wordpress under this web matrix. can some one help me about it.

    You are referring to a local install of WordPress.ORG software and we do not provide support for them here at WordPress.COM.

    This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
