Adding this filter to my page
-
Currently I don’t have anything on my site, new to wordpress and doing a lot of reading first.. but I will eventually have it as a portfolio for my Illustration work.
I found this https://mixitup.kunkalabs.com/ – a really nice filter , which I think would work really well for easily displaying my work.
I have 2 questions though – A) would I be able to implement this onto a wordpress theme? or would I be better off finding a theme with a similar filter?
B) Would a design portfolio constitute a ‘commercial project’ ? I figure it doesn’t since I’m not making money from the website itself, though I would be earning indirectly.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there!
MixItUp is a plugin, so you would need a self-hosted WordPress site to use it, instead of a site here on WordPress.com. (This page has some quick differences between the two options if needed: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/).
On WordPress.com, there are several themes ready to use with Portfolios you may want to browse here: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/portfolio/. And there is information on how Portfolios work here on this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/portfolios/. You’d be able to create portfolio projects and assign project types and tags to them to sort them, which may do what you’re looking for. :)
Let me know if you have any questions as you go!
