adding to catagories

im working on a website for my web tech class and ive made 5 menu catagories to put my posts into but i cant find out how to do that exactly and i havent found any videos or blogs that could help

When you assign a category to at least one post, as described in the Categories support page, a category page is automatically created. See the Category Pages support page for more information about these dynamic pages.
Presently I find the following categories assigned to posts on your site: Game Series, Pokemon, and What ARE Pokemon? (subcategory). Here are the corresponding category pages:
- Game Series — https://pkmnfiles.wordpress.com/category/game-series/
- Pokemon — https://pkmnfiles.wordpress.com/category/pokemon/
- What ARE Pokemon? https://pkmnfiles.wordpress.com/category/pokemon/what-are-pokemon/
The URL of the third category page above indicates that the category “What ARE Pokemon?” is a subcategory of the the “Pokemon” category. In other words, “Pokemon” is the parent category of “What ARE Pokemon?”
You may add links to category pages to your menu as described in the Add Menu Items section of the Custom Menus support page.
