Adding URL To Text Widget

  How would I add an url to link to using a text widget? Do I need to know HTML coding?
  I tried adding the widget, giving it a title and adding the address in the body of the text field.
  I noticed some blogs use this, and you can link from the title and text body.

  Thanks I’ll follow the links you provided. I’m clear about adding links in poets, just trying to figure the proper use of the text widget. Thanks again
