Adding User locally without an e-mail ID

  Dear Friends,

  Can anyone tell me, how can i implement wp, without having an e-mail server?

  My problem is, whenever a user need to get an account, an e-mail id is requird for sending his user id and password. Can it be avoided? Can an user be added directly at the same moment when he sign ups?

  Plzzz help me out in this issue…

  We all need an email account if we need to change our passwords or if we need to contact WordPress staff for technical help. Most things I have encountered needs an email address to get that account.

  I’m not talking about that e-mail id. Whenever i’m starting a site in my network where there is no e-mail server is running.

  I think you are in the wrong place seavoyeger! This forum is for blogs hosted at wordpress.com and what you are referring to makes me think you have a wordpress blog hosted elsewhere. This is the correct forum!
