Adding user to current blog

  I want to add my partner as editor to my blog, however, it appears he would need to have a completely separate blog of his own. Is there a way to do this??

  He can register a WordPress.com username without registering a blog. When you go through the registration process, there are two choices: gimme a blog and “just a username”.
