adding usernames

  I have my blog set to be private. I am trying to add a series of names (first initial, last name) to the allowed users and then I’ll send an invitation to join. It takes a few names but not all. Is that because they may not have a wordpress account? Is there a better way/

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You don’t add names: you add wp.com usernames.

  And no there’s no other way.

  I’m pretty sure they’ll need to have wordpress.com accounts if you want them added to your blog.
