Adding Users

Hi there, If I have someone trying to add me as a user but I am not a part of their organization, it looks like they need to check a box that says “this user is a contractor, freelancer, consultant, or agent” for the email to come through to my inbox. I’ve noticed some accounts don’t have that checkbox and I don’t receive the email they are trying to send. Is there any way to rectify this?

Hey there,
Checking “this user is a contractor, freelancer, consultant, or agent” does not change the user’s permissions in any way. It’s just a way for the site owner to keep track of users who are not part of the organization. Checking this box would not be required in order to invite you to the site.
Can you clarify what email the site owners are trying to send that you are not receiving?

@staff-dragon when they send the invitation it does not come through to my email. Their page looks like this which is different from my account so I can’t replicate the issue from my account.

Are you referring to a second site you are working on? The screenshot you shared seems to be from a totally different site, and shows that the Elementor plugin is in use. I can confirm there is no Elementor plugin present on https://megcareye47a3e017a.wordpress.com/ so I’m hoping you can share the URL of the site you are needing help with, thanks.

This is for a client’s site. We use this process to be authorized on our client’s sites and it is not working. What is the Elementor plugin? Is this something I need to enable?

The Elementor plugin is in no way required. It sounds like you are looking to have the client add you to a site other than https://megcareye47a3e017a.wordpress.com/. Can you provide the URL for the site they are trying to invite you to? Thanks!
