Why am I getting an error message when trying to add existing users to my blog?

Hi, I am having trouble adding users to my site. I have the person’s wordpress id and email, but for some reason when I try adding the name (under the search the network button), I get a message saying they don’t exist. I know that’s not the case because these people have personally sent me their user id and email address so they can be added to the site. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I meant searching under the ‘add existing’ user button.
Also, a number of people have tried signing up to my blog through invitations I sent, but they are saying that they are unable to post. -

I see 19 users with access to your blog. Can you let me know how many should be appearing? If this is incorrect, would you be able to contact us privately so we can get some additional information regarding individual users?
Lastly, some users may not be able to post – or may need their posts “moderated” – depending on the user role that you’ve assigned to them. More information about user roles can be found here:
