adding videoes to my blog
-
Looking to start adding videos to my blog. I have them in dropbox. How can I get them into my blog? Videopress doesn’t seem to support Dropbox? I’m not sure how to do this?
Thanks in advance!

Are you using the correct guide for embedding videos?
The video embeds that WordPress.com supports for all of our blogs – no upgrade required are found here.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/Video shortcodes are here – use them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/#video

Thank you for responding. I’m able now to get my videos from dropbox BUT for some reason when it comes into wordpress it the video is rotated on it’s side. In dropbox it’s fine, in WP it’s sideways. There doesn’t seem to be any way to edit the video?

Use video editing software to rotate it prior to uploading it to WordPress.com. This is a common problem with phone videos.

Thank you for the quick response this is driving me crazy. I’ll try that but on the phone and in dropbox the video is perfect. It somehow rotates transfering to WP.

No, it was taken sideways. The phone and dropbox are displaying it rotated, because they have software that automatically detects which way is up. WordPress does not. You need to rotate landscape video before you upload it to WordPress.

OK I’m getting there!! I managed to rotate the video on my phone prior to sending it. NOW on my WP media page when I click edit on the video I get 2 videos; 1 the perfect size but (again) unrotated but then further down I have the correct rotated version and it’s actually making ot to the Blog! It’s just way too big?
