Adding viewer to a private site

    Hi, I’m trying to make a private site to share updates about an upcoming baby, and would rather not have that info and those pictures available tot he whole world. I would like to set the site to private, but also don’t want to give editor access to everyone. This word press support page https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/ suggests there is the possibility of adding a Viewer role to a private site, but I haven’t been able to find that option anywhere. Any suggestions?

    Hi, if your site is set to private via the General settings (information here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ ) then the Viewer role should automatically show up as one of the options when you’re inviting someone.

    Could I ask you to check if the site’s set to private? If that’s done, and the viewer role still isn’t showing up for you, let us know and we can check it over!
