Adding Widgets?

  Is it possible to add widget(s) to a free wordpress.com blog? I haven’t upgraded, and I’m not great at HTML or anything, but I was able to add one widget in a text box side bar option, but I’d like to add some more widgets to sit on the side. Is this possible or do I need to upgrade?

  Any help is much appreciated.

  The widgets that are available are shown under Presentation => Sidebar Widgets. They are the only ones that are available with wordpress.com. Upgrading will not affect the number of widgets available.

  Best bet would be to submit a feedback and suggest a widget. Please make sure to include a link as well to the widget

  By the way, which one would you thinking of? We may be able to figure out a workaround.

  hihi, i would like to add this script ad in my wordpress. however, i am not able to add it in my text widgets… http://brennan.sg/projects/dt-nuffnang says that i have to create a new widget but i am at a lost at how to do it..

  If by script you mean javascript then the software here will strip it out to preserve security. If by “ad” you mean advertisement of any kind then note that advertising is not allowed on wordpress.com hosted blogs.

  @miracule. There’s a Q&A section right there on the page you linked:

  A: Nope. Hosted WordPress blogs only. Due to security issues, WordPress.com won’t allow it.
