adding widgets

i want to add widgets from blog communities.. where do i put the added html…i don’t see an html button on the widget page…..

Try using the text widgets. Do note that if the code (just for reference, specific examples of what you’re trying to do are usually helpful around here else we wind up having to make guesses as to what you’re doing) contains stuff like iframes, javascript, or embeds, those are removed from user input due to security concerns.

If you’re looking at widgets that say they’re for ‘wordpress’, the designers are talking about the version of wordpress found at http://wordpress.org and used for hosting elsewhere. We use a version called wordpress multiuser. Please review the stickies for more details.

    Hope this helps,

i mean like blog log and blog catalog….

Do you mean MyBlogLog? You may want to search teh forums as it’s been discussed many many times over and there’s a work around using the text widgets.

And blogcatalog appears to be down so i can’t review the site. Maybe giving the specific code you’re trying to add it would be helpful. (Helpful hint is to place any html code in between backticks here in the forums for it to show up. That’s the key above the tab key and to the left of the ‘1’ key on a standard PC keyboard.)
