Adding widgets

  I feel really dim here: I’m totally new to blogging and cannot find on my dashboard how I add a widget (if that’s what it’s called) for people to leave their name and e-mail address on my blog.

  Does this exist on wordpress? or am I just looking in the wrong place?

  Thanks to everybody, you all look like a really friendly community.
