adding wordpress

  I tried to add wordpress, but I keep doing something wrong.
  I’m not super computer literate, but here’s what I have..

  I have access to an FTP page
  I unzipped and changed the wp-config file
  Then I tranfered the wordpress 2.3.2 onto the FTP page
  I tried opening the site http:// …. /wp-admin/install.php but it doesn’t work.

  can someone help? Thanks a bundle.

  We can’t help you here; you need to be at wordpress.org. The .com and .org versions are different:

  If the theme you are using has a custom header image, yes you can under presentation > custom image header.

  Which themes can I add a header image to?

  sacred, you are the man. but i was being facetious about these forums and all the WP.org people that come here for support. I used WP.org for years but am trying out WP.com now and just find it frustrating to see how little people pay attention.

  Heh yes, the whole wordpress.com and wordpress.org thing is confusing for most people. Most people when the go looking for something on the web, .com is the first thing that comes to mind. A lot of discussion has gone on about how to make it clearer, but I don’t know that there is anything that would do it at this point.

  I understand the confusion at first, but you’d think people would look at the sticky threads. Of course, we never hear from the ones that do. What slays me is the ones who can’t use the search box, or who bump threads. No, still no blogger-initiated Adsense for you, people!
