Adding world map to blog
-
I’d like to use a map graphic to track where I am, and where commenters are based. Does anyone know a map tool I can add–if you do, please let me have as much detail as you can manage on where and how to add it to my blog so people can easily see it–should it have its own page, or should it be added to the bottom of every post? Thanks…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Blarneycrone.
Here at wordpress.COM we have a platial map widget. I found this link in the support documents, it should help you set it up. :)

I’d recommend looking at embedding Google Maps on a page. (It can’t be put into a widget.) You can customize your map to show where you are. Unfortunately it won’t automatically track where your visitors are.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/You can put code for these into a text widget on your sidebar:
This map shows where your visitors come from and is free, and it’s easy to place in your sidebar:

(There is a state flag counter as well if you are interested in the U.S.)
