Adding “www” to custom domain reg thru WordPress

I just upgraded to my own domain name but the url box reads http://myyearwiththemouse.com and I would like it to read http://www.myyearwiththemouse.com (adding the www). Can this be done? How?

Hi. WordPress.com automatically removes the www from all domain names, and does not allow to map the subdomain “www”:

No wordpress.COM blog can have the WWW. WordPress does not support it. Also, it has become passe and few people anymore are using it except for the old legacy sites that started out with it back in the 80s and early 90s. If someone types in the WWW, in your blog URL, it will automatically redirect to the non-www URL.
