adding www to domain name
-
Hello
I just bought a domain name on WordPress for my blog. I’d really like it to display in the browser as ‘www.blog.com’ and not just as ‘blog.com’.
Is there any way to get the browser to display the www at the beginning?
This is admittedly nothing to do with function, but more to do with appearance and personal preference for URL looks.
Thank you
Jo

That’s not possible. Did you read the support documentation on this? Or did you search the forums? No wordpress.com URLs contain “www” and all “www” domains are redirected seamlessly to the same domain without the “www”. I’m not sure what ‘support documentation’ you’re referring to, but I did search the forums – without finding anything. I must not have been searching using the right search words.
Thanks for the answer though.

Hi there,
All support documentation for free hosted WordPress.com bloggers is found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com and the search box there produces results from both the docs and forum threads. Best wishes with your blog. :)
